Run happy and healthy all the days of my life. Be an example and inspiration to my family.

Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

AM:  Too beautiful a day to pass up running outside.  After taking Emi to the library for story time, Karen and I ran an EZ recovery 5 miler.  We saw Wendy turning as we approached on 1200 E, such perfect timing, finished the run together w/ Wendy to Karen's then home.  I have missed running w/ Wendy so much!

***Sinuses cleared up nicely after the run.  Jeff came home early at lunch time feeling sick as a dog.  Everyone in the house has gotten sick now.  I'm knocking on wood that I won't get it! :)

EVENING:  8 circuits of the following CSE about 80 min.:

Abd crunch ~ 60 reps

Leg pushaway ~ 60 reps

Prone plank ~ 60 sec

R side plank ~ 60 sec

L side plank ~ 60 sec

Back extension (straight arm & bent elbow) ~ 60 rep

Clam shell ~ 60 rep

Abductor leg lift (forward and invert) ~ 60 rep

Walk sit ~ 60-90 sec

SMooth, I will find out on Friday. It can't come soon enough.

Oh man, you're so patient! Crossing my fingers that the doc. has good answers for ya!

Smooth, great workouts. I need to find a way to get more exercise time in especially since I'm not running as much. I was going to jump rope last night after mutual while I watched my recorded BYU basketball game, but I didn't have the energy, so I just did the foam roller instead.

Dale, I bet it has felt like an eternity waiting for that appointment. I hope there will be good news.

Great work out! I am happy to hear your knee is not too bad. I am planning to run around my house on Saturday, that way if the storm is too bad I can hit the treadmill.

Great workouts Smooth and way to play it safe with the knee!

WOW, nice work outs! Ugh, it's awful when everyone is sick, hopefully yours doesn't get too bad so you can keep running (and everyone else gets better, too). Good job Smooth!

Rhett ~ Being a bishop is so hard to find time for yourself!!! May be you can somehow talk the youth into having an EXERCISE night! It will do them some good too!!! While we're at it, we should multi-task by having a big screen showing the Cougars playing New Mexico next Mutual night while they jump rope! :)

Kathie ~ smart thinking ahead! I miss you! We have got to have a Chump run together when Teena is all better!

Have a safe and fun Long run on Sat. :)

RAD ~ The play it safe only lasted one day! I don't know what I'm doing!

Brooke ~ I feel so bad for all my sick kids especially Teena!! so far My symptom is limited to just a head cold! We have yet to have our celebration luncheon!! :)
