Run happy and healthy all the days of my life. Be an example and inspiration to my family.

 

Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!! 

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

I am glad to see you are doing your yoga! I have a class tomorrow. Heathen sister has started her own yoga center in Preston I would love to take classes from her... if she were only closer! (I bet she would give me a great discount at least I hope she would!)

Thanks to you, the Yoga Diva, I got converted. I'm only using DVD by Rodney Yee, very basic beginer stuff, move for the stretching. One of these days I'll take a class. Too bad Heathen sister's center is way up there in Preston. Is your Yoga class part of your gym membership?

Yes it is part of my membership. Most gyms really dont have a good yoga program but mine has several great classes one on Friday, Saturday (I love to do this one after a long run if I get back in time) and Wednesday nights.

I don't aways make all three classes but I always make at least one.

Wow with all the strengh training you are doing Smooth you should be able to kiss those cramps goodbye. Great job those lunges and wall sits can really give you a good burn.

Looks like you are getting in some good core muscle work. That will pay dividends when you are tiring at the end of a race.
