Drove down to SG on Friday and signed up at the packet pick up in the Dixie Center. Met up with Lowell and TJ. Susie made us a wonderful dinner. What a nice visit with my besties from Pokey! :)
Next morning, Lowell had an oatmeal breakfast ready for me. We drove to the Dixie Center with just enough time to walk to the start and off we went. Lowell went with the 2:00 pace group. TJ and I stayed at the very back with the 3 hr. group! :) I hadn't run much since the SG Marathon last Oct. I think the longest I ran was 8 or 9 miles this year. My asthma had been acting up bad lately. I wore a jacket that Lowell lend me. It was too big. I soon took it off and wrapped around my waist. TJ was so good to stay with me the whole way. He said he couldn't have run much faster and much rather have the company. I was cramping up a bit the last mile and struggled to keep going.
Lowell did great and took home hardware which was an awesome sculpture. We then went to Cracker Barrel for brunch.
