Our 5th son, Bryan, got married today to a wonderful Japanese girl, in the Salt Lake Temple.  All our kids are now married.  The youngest three all got married in the last three years.  If we hadn't come home early from our mission Larry would've missed two of the weddings!

Drove down to Donald Trump's Golf Course from Sissy's house in Rancho Palos Verdes to run the trail along the coast starting at the Golf Course with Steven.  Slow scenic run.

Hubby dropped us off at the bathroom in Donald Trump's Golf Course.  We ran on the trail then headed up on the road and back to the course.

Had hubby dropped me off on Palos Verdes East above the Golf Course bathroom so I could run on the road heading along the coast to scout out if I could run around the island for a long run tomorrow.  Steven and I decided to turn around at the point where the road had very narrow shoulder with blind corners.

Ran the same portion of the trail along the coast by Donald Trump's Golf Course as Monday.  We then went to the beach and drove home along the north portion of Palos Verdes East and saw a runnable trail in the median with trees (shades).  I could've had hubby dropped me off at the beach asset and run north for long run. Oh well, next year or next time when I visit Sissy, I'll know where to do the long run!

Since I was visiting my sister in California last week and drove home on Sunday, I didn't run my long run last Sat.  So I get to run long today.

22 miles in 4:42.  I didn't pause my watch with all the pit stops.

11.5 in 2:07:03 (first couple miles with Eric on the river trail in Albuquerque).

We drove to Albuquerque yesterday.  Today is Emi's baptism which is not until later in the afternoon.  So Eric and I got up early and he drove us to the river trail west of the freeway.  He had hoped to run at the base of Sandias Mountain on some hilly trail.  We're both training for Utah Valley Marathon.  But I stink at uphill so I opted for a flat river trail (paved bike path) run.

He stayed with me for the first mile and half on the dirt portion of the trail; then I urged him to go run his pace and let me run my slow pokey pace since the trail is pretty straight forward along the river and I would not be lost.  So he took off on the dirt trail.  He would turn around at his half point of a 13 miler.  There were some semi-pro runners doing their training there.  It was so awesome to watch one African gal running so smoothly and effortlessly with a coach or husband biking along side.  She's passed me both ways.  Then on my return trip around my mile 10, a group of 4 African ladies running single file passed me on the trail shoulder (on dirt).  They were running so quietly and gracefully so swiftly, probably a 6min pace.

It was a nice trail other than some occasional swarms of bugs and cotton from the cottonwood trees, reminds me of the Jordan River Trail back home.

Emi's baptism was wonderful.  Her aunt (twin sister to Marianne) surprised them by driving down from AF and showing up at the church parking lot as we pulled in.  After the baptism, Eric treated us all to a very nice dinner at a fine seafood restaurant! :)
