Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Temp was *can see your breath and frosty lawn* type of coldness.  Ran easy with Karen, Wendy and Carolyn.  Karen had to cut it short...her left knee still bothering her. :(

When I got home the workers were already here.  Hardwood guy, Larry, here to finish the last 12'x4' floor from fitness room to the french door.  Reggie here to hang the 2 bathroom doors and double bedroom door.  Doors are gonna be funky b/c hubby doesn't want the door covering up the beautiful cabinets.  The doors will stay open most of the time so have to live with it.  Reggie has to cut off bottom of the door frames so won't have this humongous gap between the doors and the floor.

Got all dressed for a cool morning run in tights and l/s top when the painter showed up at my door bright and early.  Dang!  So...did not get out for my run 'till hubby got home from work.  It was nice, sunny, beautiful, perfect temp even in tights and l/s.  Wish I had more time but had to hurry home to make dinner before hubby goes to his meetings and interviews.  AP: 9:12.  Splits: 10:12, 9:00, 9:03, 9:04, 9:05, 8:57, 9:02.  Legs felt pretty good.

Reggie and Cory made it here in time to get the last little bit of baseboard, door frame installed and cleared out all their equipments, tools and scraps while the painter prep'd and masked everything.  Everything is primed and  ceiling painted.  The bathroom cabinets will need to be re-installed.

Zero running today due to workers here early.  Went shopping after dinner.  I have not gone grocery shopping forever.  We've been living on food storage! :)

********

Baseboards, doors and door frames painted.  Reggie and Cory graded the ground in prep for cement patio, fixed the sprinkler pipe they broke, buried a 2" PVC pipe the length of the new addition for the two down-sprouts on the east side which will be under the patio cement.  Reggie put in new exterior lights (garage, front door, back door and new french door).   Closet shelves and organizers ordered.  Carpet was ordered on Mon.  Shower glass was ordered last Thu.

A quick run with Wendy and Carolyn.  Beautiful weather.

We're planning to run on the Lehi JRP on Sat. at 6.  We heard the north portion is now opened crossing 2100 North,  we're excited to check it out.  Y'all welcome to join us.

Painting is DONE!!!!  After the painter and his helper girl left at 3:30pm, I started cleaning till 10 at night.   I vacuumed and cleaned all the floors, the bathroom, the kitchen, the family room (where no bedroom furniture is parked), the bedrooms.  Baby Jett and her mommy are coming on Friday.  I heard he's crawling now, so I've got to make sure the floor is clean for him!  :)

Zero running.  Was so excited about my grand baby coming from Houston that I didn't sleep a wink.  Workers came early again.  Spent the day cleaning and getting downstair room and bathroom ready for daughter and grandbaby.

I signed up to run the Pony Express 50 miles today!!!  I am very excited and nervous at the same time.  I've never run that far before.  I hope I can finish under 11 hours.  :) :) :)

Cabinets re-installed.  Some electrical stuff, fans  and closet lights installed....but still need to figure out some bugs with wiring so nothing is turned on yet.  Carpet to be installed next week.   Granite guy came to template the counter top.

John and Wendy picked me up at 7am since the others bailed and there was no need to go at 6.  It was still dark illuminated by a waning semi-full moon.  We ran on the Lehi JRP from the old bridge northward.  The trail under the 2100 North bridge is newly paved with landscaping on the east side and fence on the west...very nice! :)  There's a portion of the trail eroded by the river and is not paved.  We veered right (east) at the wooden bridge to explore the dirt trail along the railroad and canal till it dead end at a gravel processing plant.  We saw a group of scouts camping by a pond.  We saw many deer along the way.  It was a beautiful Fall morning.  The only negative part was my legs were lead.   Felt better when my feet were back on pavement.  Hope the legs revive by Fri.  I think they have forgotten how to run on dirt trail. :)

Busy day attending a wedding and spending time with my family especially my daughter and grandbaby from Houston.  They are only here for the weekend. :(
