Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

I don't think I have seen that movie either!!!

Nice hill workout SSF!!! :) Check out that ENTIRE mile at a 6% grade!!!! NO WAY I could have done that. You are just a little bit crazy!!!! :) :) :)

Hope you had a wonderful evening. I am suppose to be studying but can't bring myself to do it. Stink -- I really should, huh? Knowing that I have spring break next week to catch up on everything is really making it hard to be efficient right now.

Love you Love you Love you!!!

If you haven't seen that movie than you need to. I have never laughed so hard before! Sandra Bullock plays a hard ball boss and is threatened to be deported back to I think Canada, so she threatened her assistant, who is a guy, that he has to marry her. I have to warn there is a nude butt scene in it.

Yeah, I love Sandra Bullock too! I'll have to rent that one next week, for one of my recovery bike rides on the stationary. Great hill workout today!

callie ~ "The Proposal" was classic! Laughed so HARD!

Kelli ~ Teena's was a speedy hill run, mine was a mind game run, thus I put on the movie. You have to watch "Two Weeks Notice". She plays this role of a Harvard Law graduate who's always looking out for the underdogs. The opening scene had her riding and wrapping herself around a wrecking ball when she tried to stop the demolition of a historic building. Hugh Grant played this tycoon who's into himself and his company was responsible for tearing down things for development. Any way Sandra got hired by Hugh as his personal secretary. Her intention was to try to stop him from tearing down the community center. She's this clutzy funny lonely admin. I love how she goes home to her apt and ordered a million Chinese take-out for ONE on the phone and at the end of the movie, she was ordering for TWO while Hugh was walking back and forth saying: "wow, this is amazing, I can walk across your apartment in 6 seconds, see!" They are hilarious.

Julie ~ My legs were burning and I was huffing, I'd stopped if it was on a real hill. R.S. was fun. I stayed to clean up and took the extra food to the less active sisters.

SSF ~ Look who's talking!!! YOU, my dear, ran an entire mile at 6% incline at 8:00 mm!!! I can't even run an 8mm on flat for a quarter of a mile. Yah, I'm a little bit crazy and you are INSANELY SPEEDY! Hope you got some study done and you can play during spring break! LOVE YOU!

Scott ~ Do YOU ever take it easy? What a crazy marathon you ran yesterday in the middle of a cold cold night and got lost and kept going even w/ ITB pain. You're CRAZY! Good kind of crazy of course! :)

Kathie ~ I need to run hills to ever survive Boston. I hate hills.

Auntie ~ GOOD LUCK tomorrow! You're gonna rock your 50K!

Rachel ~ Whatever! You still run faster than me in your prego state. I may run farther though! :) You're doing awesome!

From Kelli on Fri, Mar 19, 2010 at 22:19:48 from 71.219.89.82

OH, I love Hugh Grant, too. I must see that one! There is nowhere to rent a movie (aside from Redbox, which only has new stuff). Hmmm....maybe i will have to join Netflix.
