Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Ran with Kelly and JonA to south part of town.  GREAT company and FUN conversations.  They're such a wonderful couple.  I'm in awe of their tremendous faith and Christlike example.  THANKS Jon & Kelly for running with me!!!  :) :) :)

Garmin showed less than 5 miles b/c I forgot to restart the thing when we crossed some major state roads.

After we got home, I went inside to slap on my fuelt belt.  After last week's scary *attack*, I wised up and carried my rescue inhaler and mace, one flask of gatorade, gel and headed up to Alpine.  Stopped at the *FoY* to drink and gu and doctor the blister on my right pinky toe.

Saw lots of cyclists, a few runners.  Many aroma and scent of freshly cut grass, fertilizer (both animal and chemical kind), pesticide, burnt weeds... By the time I got back to the traffic light at SR92, my lungs felt like it's filled with cotton.  Instead of taking the inhaler, I pushed thru the last 1.5mile home.

Off to the Salt Lake Temple for the sealing of my niece/nephew to their adopted baby girl.  Hope y'all having a WONDERFUL weekend!

Thanks for taking us for a short slow run. We sure enjoy your company.

We thought of Larry when we drove from your house straight to the corner store for some nice bubbly soda. I said we took you for a run, we should have taken Larry for the run (of a different kind) after the run. :-)

Have a great weekend!

PS - Nice run after we warmed you up.

What a fun day, running with friends (I agree, they are amazing), then running with smells (yuck!) and off to the temple for a very COOL sealing.

Great weekend, way to get everything in.

SSF ~ The sealing was WONDERFUL!!! It was a very busy day at the temple. We saw another family with adopted children, of whom appeared to be twins (African boy and girl) and one Asian older boy all dressed in white taking pictures on the temple ground. Lots of weddings as well. What a joyful day for so many families!

I thought of you and your twins. You must have had a tremendously happy day when your twins were sealed to you and Ry!

Rachel ~ I'm glad you had a great run with Becca! I would have slowed you WAY WAY down!

Jon ~ I told Larry about your *addiction* to soda! He knows that feeling and wished you had taken him too! It would have given him the extra boost he needed to mow the lawn.

Hope you got the work project done! Sure stinks that you had to work on Sat. and such long hours. Hope the run helped with the *re-set* and the work is completed so you can take a well-deserved break!

Hope Kelly had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day!

Andy ~ Thank you!!! :)

Slick ~ Ogden is going to be a training run. So hopefully I'll finish upright! :)

Kelli ~ It was a FUN day! How are you feeling today? We need to get together soon. Sure miss you tons!

Flat ~ Thanks!

Nancy ~ Hope you had a Happy Mother's & Grandmother's Day! :)

Smooth, Next time we are taking Larry for a drink run! :-)

Kelly (and I) sure enjoyed running with you, you make the time pass quickly.

And yes we had a good mothers day. Hope you did too!
