Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

I always sleep like a baby the night after a marathon.  Slept in.  Emailed my missionary son.  Checked out the hotel.  Went to the 9am Sacrament Mtg. in Henderson NV.  We saw that chapel just right off the College Dr. Exit on our way to Boulder City Fri., so perfect timing.  Picked up lunch at St. George.  Got home in time for hubby's interview appt.  Legs were sore/stiff from sitting on the 7.5 hr drive.  I'm the luckiest girl to have such a wonderful hubby who'd drive me to and support me in my crazy marathon running. :)

5 min. each of biceps, triceps and core.

Foam roll and stretch.  Ouch!

Ran the rail trail and paved portion of canal trail with Karen.  Temp was in the high teens. Legs are feeling good.

They're building what appears to be a restroom at the west end of canal trail.  Can't wait for the entire trail to be completed! :)

Good dentist checkup and cleaning.

Myrtle.  CSE.

Having a ton of FUN with Emi and Devin. :)

The gang only wanted 10-11 so I ran to Karen's for extra mile and met Wendy, Carolyn and John on our way to Alpine park.  Gu'd and drank from the fountain-of-youth where we turned back.  Lots of runners out, saw Emily and Bryan Hansen.  After dropping the gang off, I picked up the pace a bit.  Nice running weather. :) :) :)

FUN outing and shopping all day with the fam.  DVR'd the Olympic Trial Marathon so I could watch it tonight.  Hubby and Marianne were good to not tell me the results.  :)
