Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Came across this scripture, Helaman 10: 9, this morning.  LOVE IT!  Gotta catch up with my reading or won't finish the B of M by the end of the year.

Ran my usual maintenance hour run...nothing spectacular happened...navigated around some black ice...some annoying barking dogs...stinky mink farm...some workers putting Christmas lights on roof tops whistled as I ran past...wondered if they knew I was a grandma!  :)  Busy day with visiting teaching, going to the doc. , playing with Emi!  :)

Sounds like an interesting morning. I can't believe there are still Neanderthals out there that think it might be a good idea to wolf whistle at women as they run! :)

Can you copy the verse in here for those of us who don't have a B of M?

Marc ~ Lehi's a hick town...is that the same as Neantherdals?

Hey, PM me your address. I will mail you a brand new B of M then you can "feast" on the whole thing rather than get the little snippets here and there! How about it! Seriously, you will love reading it!

Amber ~ I had to turn and look to see if there was any other girl on the road! TOO FUNNY!

I will eat lotsa turkey in your honor! and pie too!

Kathie ~ You will LOVE being a grandma! It is SO SO SO SO SO FUN!!!

Luzy ~ You're too nice!

SSF ~ :)

Bec ~ Silly guys on the roof!

You're too kind, Smooth! If you send me one, I'll probably have to hide it...especially if my father comes to visit! (I'm a little more open-minded than some -- but don't get your hopes up on converting me from my current heathen ways! :) Even though we don't share the same religion, we have similar beliefs and basic morals, and when it comes down to it we're all brothers and sisters in life.

From Smooth on Fri, Nov 27, 2009 at 00:24:16 from 174.23.201.210

Marc ~ What heathens? You're the most Christian-like non-Mormon there ever is! NOT trying to convert you. That's the Holy Ghost's job (to convert)! Just want to share with you what I hold dear! You are SO SO SO SO right about us sharing similar beliefs and values and we are definitely brothers and sisters with the same Heavenly Father! Hope you know I think the world of you!!! :)
