Run happy and healthy all the days of my life. Be an example and inspiration to my family.

Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Too full and too hot to run outside in the afternoon.  Ran 4 on the TM, 3 "hills" w/ max incline at 10, variable speed, max at 8:34.  TT: 42:15.

Around the world core + Fast abs. , 40 reps.

Bicep, tricep. 8 sets x 40 reps.

Going to curl up for home movie w/ hubby...better skip the pop corn and candy since I had a dinner of T-bone steak...such a piggy.

So where is your son going to school? I wish I was in college again...but I would want to know what I know now and not make so many dumb mistakes...like changing my major 6 times.

From Smooth on Tue, Jul 14, 2009 at 12:41:29 from 71.36.67.77

Teena,

How's school coming along? TM is so not fun. I just ran the pre-program workout and the thing automatically changes the incline. I want one of those TM that has decline though. LLL LLL LLL

Bec,

I wish I know how to Xtrain like you.

Kellie,

I can't get over what a "barbie doll" you are. I just love being around you. THANKS for your sweet and loving words.

Kathie,

You changed your major 6 times? What did you end up graduating in? My boy is going to be a senior and preparing for college. He's attending the Summer Of Academic Refinement (SOAR) at BYU. I like to attend college classes but not get tested or graded on. If it weren't so expensive, I'd take audit classes in a heart beat.
