Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

I LOVE your Blog pic, what a CUTIE!. . .

Glad you got to enjoy a day with your Sister, does she have as much energy as you??? :)

Hey, are you guys driving up Saturday AM or staying over night? I'm trying to find someone to tag along with up to Ogden so I don't have to drive alone.

The plumber just told me not to use the kitchen much until Friday so I am thinking we will be eating out some and I am torn ....it is a good thing and a bad thing for sure.

Getting excited to see you and Larry.

Amber & Dale ~ I'm in the 10 lbs club today. By tomorrow will be 20 lbs club for sure! :) :) :) :)

And yes, my sister's energy level is triple that of mine! :) However, she eats like a bird and never gains any weight even when she'd eat like a horse! ;)

Kelli ~ It's so fun to have my sister come visit me. She spoils me and mine rotten! I'm loving it! :)

Rachel ~ I sure hope so. But I actually gain more after running a marathon, I don't know why!

Larry and I usually stay up in Ogden Friday night. But this year I am hitching a ride with Teena!

Doone ~ eating out is a good thing when it is temporary! Can't wait to see you and Rhett!

allie ~ yep, we sampled different cuisines every day. Yesterday we went to Island Rumbi Grill (culinary of Bali) for lunch and Market Street Grill (best Alaskan halibut) for dinner. Today we went to Olive Garden (Italian) for lunch and Red Maple (exquisite Chinese seafood cuisine) for dinner. Tomorrow we may go to Simply Sushi (Japanese) for lunch and Lamb's (best downtown restaurant) for dinner.

I am so excited that you will be cheering at mile 20 like you did last year. It was the best part of my marathon. THANKS!!! I so so so look forward to your cheer! :) :) :) :) :)
